Clauthbound is a gently-stressed, display sans inspired by the foil-stamped, cloth book covers from the early-mid 20th century. I was envisioning gold pressed into dusty fabric books, with its slightly rounded corners from decades of printing. It's a friendly typeface that merges classy with character—great for vintage-inspired posters, film titles, invitations, classic novels, etc.
The font also includes over 40 arguably-random icons that would feel at home on those mid-century covers. These are carefully-considered, simple marks that are designed to work perfectly with the letterforms. You can even design an entire deck of playing cards using the fonts alone (and maybe we will! ;-)
Clauthbound comes in three weights: Regular, Semibold, and Bold. Upper and lowercase, numerals, punctuation, diacritics with expanded language support, as well as the icon set, some alternate characters and a few ligatures.
